Bush is gone in 2 years. He's already a lame duck. The nightmare of the Bush Administration is the past. Dems need to look to the future.
This is politics--the game of saying one thing and doing another. One of my biggest peeves with Bush is he doesn't seem to understand you can privately oppose an enemy while still saying publicly you embrace "diplomatic solutions".
We should not get upset when Nancy Pelosi publicly states her intentions of "bipartisanship".
All you Dems need to look to what has happened in Colorado since 2003. In 2003, the Colorado Dems controlled squat. The GOP controlled the state House, state Senate, and the Governor's mansion. As of November 7, 2006, Colorado Dems now have the trifecta, controlling all three for the first time in over 40 years.
Why?
Because Dems were the compromising, bipartisan, moderate option.
